E-Venz Africa is where hubs, communities and companies across the continent publish their events, sell tickets, and let attendees spread the word.
Why we built it
Events are how the ecosystem actually connects — the demo day where a founder meets their first investor, the workshop where a developer picks up the skill that changes their career, the summit where two hubs three countries apart decide to work together.
But organising one across African markets means wrestling with tools built for somewhere else: payment providers that do not take mobile money, ticketing that assumes everyone has a credit card, and marketing that assumes a budget.
How it works
Organisers publish their event, create ticket tiers, and connect their own Pesapal account — attendee payments settle directly with them, in their currency, by mobile money or card. We never hold the money.
Every ticket carries a QR code that staff scan at the gate from any phone. Free tickets work exactly the same way, minus the payment step.
And because the best marketing for an event is the people attending it, attendees can generate a personalised flyer with their own name and photo on the organiser's design, then share it with their network.
